Firstly, a brief introduction of viruses. Viruses are non-living sub-microscopic infectious agents. They are non-living because they are unable to fulfill the criterias of the cenral dogma. Viruses do not reproduce or multiply on their own as they rely on the host cell's reproduction mechanism to duplicate more of the viruses. Moreover, a virus genome contains mostly either DNA or RNA but not both like cases of a cell of an organism or bacteria.
Now that we know that what viruses are like, My group and I shall now discuss more about Virology. From the system of classifcation to the taxonomy, the types of viruses, the diseases they caused, their viral replication cycle and much more, all these parts under Virology will be elaborated and explained in the future postings and entries.
That's all for the introduction folks! Stay tune for our next update!
